A Personal Journey to Share

I started my creative journey almost 7 years ago. While I was pursuing my MCA degree, I realized I didn’t have the bent of mind to go in for a corporate job. Around the same time, I developed an interest in graphic design and started learning it on my own.

By the time I finished college I had begun working as a freelance graphic designer. As one thing leads to another, the next step was to print my designs for clients. And as I did that a whole new world opened up for me.

I enjoyed the process of printing so much that over the next few years I deep dived into the intricacies of it. I researched the processes, raw-material, technicalities, and the commercial aspects of printing. And thus, Dpotli was born.

Out of all the wonderful things that printing makes possible, the use of handmade paper excited me the most. And the fact that today we are making various kinds of handmade papers in-house and experimenting with them gives me immense satisfaction at the end of the day. 

Another material that I have a deep love for is leather. I realized that leather is produced in abundance in India, but is not so widely used by popular stationery brands. And if it is used, the products are too expensive for an artist to buy. 

Our mission at Dpotli is to craft the finest quality handmade paper and leather products and to make them affordable for artists, writers, and anyone who loves to use them. 

All our products are crafted with love by our team of 30+ artisans based in Jaipur, India.
